ABOUT THE CARRIERS

We designed our surfboard carriers to make it easy to carry even the longest of boards with the shortest of arms down any beach track, they're created with the intent to encourage all different people to get out into nature and enjoy the beautiful Australian ocean.

Each carrier has been carefully handmade by us and ensuring they are as eco friendly as possible has been our highest priority.

Each carrier is made with vintage/repurposed towel fabric that we have thrifted/scavenged ourselves, the towelling makes it perfect for a quick dry off for you and your board after a surf.

The straps are made with a high quality hemp & organic cotton blend to ensure they are strong enough for even the longest of longboards. Each strap has been cut, ironed and sewn by us.

We've added a nice big, handy pocket to the front to carry essentials down to the beach with you...keys/phones/wax/seashells.

We spend hours working hard at the beach picking our favourite shells to sew onto each carrier, making each one unique.

The peopleofthetide tag is 100% hemp strapping and we have them embroidered locally in Bermagui, NSW.

OUR STORY

Dreamt up by us, two south east coast sisters, people of the tide was created to get people into the surf.

We fell in love with long boarding but we knew there must be an easier way to navigate long windy tracks down to the surf while still bringing along towels, blankets, cameras and sunscreen (and shells on the trip home), without sore arms or dings in precious boards.

We grew up on Yuin Country and have always felt a strong connection to the Aussie coast and bush, this has made us aware of the fragile environment we’re lucky enough to live in so we wanted to make sure our products are as sustainable as possible.

We hope you love your board carrier as much as we loved making them,

Love,
Fin & Eloise
